The walleyes are biting around the 12 ft depth and leeches seem to be the ticket. We've been getting some keepers in the shallows of Vineland Bay. The rocks by Indian Point are another hot spot in the 12 ft to 14 ft depths and we have had some nice keepers since the start of the season. Small-mouth bass are biting in the Rocky Reef area. Plugs and crawlers are ideal. The perch bite has slowed down a bit, but we caught a nice size half-pounder the other night using crawlers near Vineland Bay. This rainy, cold weather is improving the bite all around for those not worried about getting wet.
